Payment of Student Fees:
At the time of admission students have to pay the admission processing fee, security and full semester fee in advance.
Invoice/Challan for admission charges along with first semester fee and Provisional Selection Letter will be available on NUST website.
Tuition fee will be payable on semester basis. Students have to pay their fee in advance before the commencement of semester otherwise they will not be eligible to sit in the class.
Student will be charged full tuition fee for maximum 4 regular semesters (2 academic years). Thereafter, s/he will not be required to pay tuition fee till completion of degree requirements. However, beyond the stipulated 2 years period a student will be required to pay the prescribed course fee for deficient / improvement courses (if any). Fee during Summer Semester will be credit hours based. If a student completes the degree requirements with in 30 days from commencement of 4th semester, s/he has to pay fee for three regular semesters only (i.e., Fall, Spring & Fall).
Masters Students admitted in fall 2014 will follow the new fee structure.
Masters Students admitted in fall 2013 will pay full tuition fee for the spring 2015 (if they do not defend their thesis within 30 days from commencement of spring semester 2015). However student having financial constraints can pay tuition fee in two installments, 1st in the month of Mar 2015 and 2nd by June 2015 or till date of thesis defense whichever is earlier, thereafter no tuition fee will be charged. For fee installments, you may contact Account Office of respective institution.
Masters students admitted in fall 2012 will pay half (50%) tuition fee for fall 2014 and will not be charged tuition fee afterwards.
Masters students admitted in fall 2011 will not be charged tuition fee from fall 2014.
Summer Semester fee will be charge @ PKR 3,000 Per credit hour.
PhD students will be charged full tuition fee for 3 academic years (6 regular semesters). Thereafter, s/he will not be required to pay any fee till completion of degree requirements. However, beyond the stipulated 3 years, a student will be required to pay the prescribed course fee for deficient / improvement courses (if any). However, fee during Summer Semester course will be credit hours based.
Through an amendment in the Income Tax Ordinance 2001 by Finance Act 2013, advance tax (under section 236 I) shall be collected @ 5% on the entire amount of fee (if Student Payable exceeds Rs. 200,000/- per annum excluding the amount refundable).
Advance tax paid on fee is adjustable at the time of filing of Income tax return. NUST will issue Advance Tax Certificate in this regard at year-end.
